Who we are

We are a company (eMolta Information Services BV), offering a tool to analyze DNA data.

What data we keep

We may keep account or legally required data, like logon name or payment history.

We try not to share your data, but may be forced to do so by legal entities from various countries in future. We will comply with legally valid requests for information. This information will never contain individually traceable genetic information as we do not store that. In case our company ever gets taken over, we cannot provide individualized genetic info as we do not store that.

We do not:

Store or archive any individual DNA data
Use uploaded files for AI training, research, or any secondary purpose

We also collect and store browsing related data, like the browser type or the visitor’s IP address. We do this for website statistics, analysis and improvement. We may also use this type of data for aggregated, not individually identifiable, genetic analysis.

How long we retain your data

For users that register on our website (if any), we store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

We keep the information as long as necessary for administrating the users account and for running the website.

What rights you have over your data

You can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. After you have closed your account, you can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

Limited liability, incorrect results, warrantee

We will endeavor to provide the highest quality results, but errors and/or incorrect results may be present. Also, scientific development may later show that previous result were incorrect. We take no responsibility for these situations.

Visitors will assume all risk for using the application, including but not limited to, correctness of results, any research development or medical data and information and/or any other foreseen or unforeseen possibility.

Visitors, agree to indemnify, and hold harmless, eMolta related entities, including our developers, editors and curators, for any and all damages arising from the use of our software and any related software.

There are no warranties expressed or implied as to the results obtained from the use of the information contained herein. Visitors use this information and related software for their own purposes and at their own risk.

Cookies

When you log in, we will also set up several cookies to save your login information and your screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days, and screen options cookies last for a year. If you select “Remember Me”, your login will persist for two weeks. If you log out of your account, the login cookies will be removed.

If you visit our login page, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.

We may also set third party cookies for the purpose of analyzing website traffic and improving our services.
